Policy response options

New and existing policy response options can be evaluated by GLOBIO(-Aquatic), in combination with the models that describe the environmental drivers. GLOBIO analyzes the potential effectivity of options assuming full implementation. Consequently, different options can be compared.

For example, the following policy response options were explored in previous studies with GLOBIO-Aquatic, such as Rethinking Global Biodiversity Strategies and the OECD Environmental Outlook to 2050:

Regional options

GLOBIO(-Aquatic) can be used to analyse global policy options, but also options at regional and national scales. Examples are regional land use planning, water management plans and pollution reduction options.
